Khassui dates are native to Iran, and it can be said that Iran is one of the main exporters of this delicious and nutritious date, and large quantities of these dates are exported to other countries every year. They are also known by other names such as Khasoi, Khasowi, and Khasi dates are cultivated in some parts of Iran.  Khassui date is cultivated in Jam (Bushehr province), Haji Abad (Hormozgan province), Behbahan (Khuzestan province), and Fasa (Fars province), but it is mainly cultivated in the Khass region located in the Kerman province of Iran. khassui dates derive their name from the region of their cultivation.

 

Khassui dates have a lot of syrup but are supplied in 2 forms: Semi-dry or soft and juicy and almost the price of semi-dry dates is slightly higher than juicy dates.

 

Khassui dates harvesting time is in October and their color is light brown when they are fully ripe or so-called cooked. However, depending on the time of cultivation, species, and growing region, they are usually found in different colors from golden yellow to light brown, from pure red to dark brown, and from dark red to blackish purple.
